This course teaches Azure administrators how to plan, deliver, and manage virtual desktop experiences and remote apps, for any device, on Azure. Students will learn through a mix of demonstrations and hands-on lab experiences deploying virtual desktop experiences and apps on Azure Virtual Desktop and optimizing them to run in multi-session virtual environments.


Plan an Azure Virtual Desktop Architecture

In this module, you will learn about Introduction to cloud VDI, What is Azure Virtual Desktop?, Azure Virtual Desktop Architecture, Host Pool, Application Groups, Workspaces, License requirements, Infrastructure and System requirements, Design the Azure Virtual Desktop architecture, and Design for user identities and profiles.

Implement Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure

In this module, you will learn about Network Requirements, Important URLs Bandwidth Considerations, Network Monitoring, Storage considerations, FSLogix profile containers, Storage Disks, Create and configure host pools and session hosts, Create and manage session host image.

Manage Access, Security, User Environments and Apps

In this module, you will learn about Manage access, manage security, Conditional Access Policies for AVD, Microsoft Defender configuration for AVD, Implement and manage FSLogix, configure user experience settings, Intune configuration for AVD, Install and configure apps on a session host.

Monitor and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure

In this module, you will learn about Azure Virtual Desktop Availability, Plan and implement BCDR, Disaster Recovery (DR) scenarios, Scaling Plans in AVD, Automate Azure Virtual Desktop management tasks, Managing & monitoring Azure Virtual Desktop, Monitor AVD with Azure Advisor, Cost & performance optimization.
