Overview

In this workshop, you will learn how to design a migration strategy to help your customers migrate their on-premises workloads to Azure using the guidance provided by Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure. This will include the migration of virtual and physical servers as well as databases. You will learn about the different assessment and migration tools available to for your use during the migration process. You will also learn how to optimize and govern the cloud workloads using the tools available within Azure and implement security with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel. This session will also include hands on lab practice to gain a better understanding of the migration process.​

Getting ready to Migrate your estate to Azure

Migrating Virtual machines

Leverage powerful migration tools, including Azure Migrate, to streamline your transition to the cloud. Azure Migrate offers a centralized platform for discovery, assessment, and seamless migration of workloads to Azure.

Database migration

Migrate your databases effortlessly using Azure Database Migration Service, supporting seamless transitions to cloud-native options. Whether moving to Azure Database for PostgreSQL or modernizing with Fabric databases, the platform ensures scalability, reliability, and minimal downtime.

Migrate and modernize apps on Azure

Modernize your app and data estate for AI with Microsoft’s developer tools, application services, and robust data platform. Utilize Azure Migrate for app containerization, secure your AI apps, and explore real-world use cases and architectures for modernizing .NET and Java applications.

Post Migration governance, optimization and compliance
